Women’s Health Spotlight: Britany Williams on Strength, Motherhood & Redefining Wellness

May is Women’s Health Awareness Month, and at WeGym, we’re proud to spotlight the voices of the women who we've partnered with since the inception of WeGym. These trailblazers are redefining what wellness means for us today while leading with strength, purpose, and heart. And who isn't inspired by that?!

This series is a celebration of honesty, empowerment, and the evolving journey of women’s wellness. We hope that you find their words as relatable and uplifting as we do!

Without further ado, let's hear from Britany Williams

Where you are in your life at this moment, what does being healthy mean to you? Healthy means moving pain free and having a body that’s adaptable to the demands of life! It’s also a well fed, well rested and well hydrated body!

In terms of your fitness routine/focus, what is your top priority?
My biggest priority right now is gaining muscle. I’ve shifted my focus to be mainly on heavy lifting with occasional running.

What is something you wish you learned about women’s health earlier?
Going through pregnancy and become a pre/post natal coach taught me a lot about women’s health (our cycles and how they work), but also taught me a lot about the physical support that women need (and don't often get) postpartum. I think pregnancy and postpartum opened my eyes to a gap in women’s fitness to help educate women on not “bouncing back” but to adapting to all the major changes that happen with ease, patience and gratitude.

Who is a woman that inspires you to move your body?
My mom inspires me. She was a fitness trainer in her 30s (as I am now) and seeing her always balance fitness and family and work was an inspiration for me to do the same. Though at the time, I would have NEVER in my wildest dreams thought of becoming a fitness trainer.

What helps you feel confident on tough days?
Seeing my daughter happy and confident and growing makes me confident that I’m doing things right. Often on tough days it just feels like you’re doing everything wrong and all it takes is one smile from my daughter to remember that everything ISN’T wrong and there is a lot going right for me.

Thank you to Britany for sharing these words of wisdom. Her story is a powerful reminder that wellness is about evolving with grace, purpose, and self-compassion.

We’re especially proud to highlight a mother who’s not only raising the next generation, but also raising the bar for what it means to care for your body and mind.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate Britany and ALL the moms who have given so much of themselves in the quiet, everyday moments that matter most.

Happy Mother's Day from the WeGym Team!
